Bought two to ease handling of long pieces, on the basis that they are cheaper than losing finger ends. Yes, they work, but I'm not finding them as useful as I expected, and they are expensive for moulded plastic. If you buy the various add-ons, they become very expensive...
They're right, every table saw owner should have one, but why on earth is it so expensive? This is a ridiculous price for a bit of plastic and some screws
I wasn't sure if this should be 3 stars or 4 because of the price, but in the end I think its 3 because this is over priced. It should be £30 maximum and could probably be cheaper again.
The good sides? It's a very well designed bit of kit. They've really tried to give this a quality feel. For example, all three screws come with little rubber retainer washers so the screws don't fall out when you take it apart. The manual is printed well and is full of tips.
The best part? It really does improve your cuts. It's significantly easier to use then a push stick and provides even grip and pushing force against the wood.
Unfortunately you pay a premium for this quality because they've managed to corner the market, and no one makes an item quite like this.
Initially may seem pricey but it's worth every penny. You can make ridiculously narrow cuts safely and effectively which would be impossible without it. It's easy to adjust and the green grips hold firm even on smooth MDF. Gives you a level of confidence in the table saw (even though the thing still scares me!) to be able to make the cuts I need. Really worthwhile purchase and so glad I got one.
I just got this and tried it out...its really robust; the price is a bit high but haveing lost the tip of a little finger to a saw I dont want to loose another...in the next few weeks if its as good as it seems then I shall buy a second one. Update... I have I a second one for over six month now and I find them both well worth the money...I would advise anyone who worked with a circular/table saw to get these
Not as good as i hoped they are not especially grippy and this model does not have the rigid backpieces that hooks over the rear of the wood as you push it through you table saw. on the hole im not satisfied at all with this for the price i paid for it.
An absolutely brilliant and safe working tool everyone should have in their workshop. Easy to set up and use. It grips the wood unlike anything else I have ever seen and is a gem when it comes to safety and getting your fingers cut off. Worth every penny. Don’t delay guys and get one of these now - I guarantee it.
Do to a bad experience in college, I don’t like removing the safety guard, but it was essential to do the work I needed to do. This made me feel very confident and secure that I could control the wood over the blade and get no kickback!
expensive waste of money, even with the grip rubber it has it still slips making it a bit dangerous. I'll probably try and modify it to make a use able tool but for this amount of money you should not have to.
