Leaky but fixable

Ok, so as others have stated, this leaks, so caveat emptor. However, it's a very attractive lamp, and actually works just fine.
So, if you want to buy this, before you fill it, you'll need to seal the seam that holds the bottom on. The bottom is bent up around the tank walls, so if you sit in upright, you should be able to go around the bottom seam with some epoxy fairly easily. This might be a big deal for some, others, not so much. If you're willing to do that, this is a decent lamp for the price. The price being extremely cheap.

Great as a Prop. Not so Great as a Lantern

I bought this lantern as a prop for photography so I do not have a great idea of how it functions as a lantern itself, but from the few weeks I've owned it and used it, I would say it is average quality--not good not bad. By this I mean to say that the lantern functions as a lantern and is able to light up with kerosene, but as many other reviews have stated the lantern leaks oil. This is likely due to poor manufacturing, but I won't get into that too much. The leak in my lantern is quite significant and clearly seen. However, with the leak, the lantern is still usable. The leaking only is really noticeable during storage at which point the kerosene or lamp oil seeps out of the seams and contaminates any surrounding objects

Aesthetically, the lantern is beautiful and the size of the lamp is perfect. I had initially purchased the smaller sized one ( Stansport Small Hurricane Lantern (Red, 8-Inch) which seemed more like a toy than a functional lantern (side-by-side picture comparison will be included). This lantern, however, is the same size as a regular lantern and has a sleek design and beautiful color.

Functionally, the lantern follows suit with classic lantern designs and is very simple to use, the adjustable wick moves smoothly and the lantern lights easily. Very easy and user-friendly.

Overall, if you are not intending to use this lantern as your sole light source, but rather as a prop or gimmick I believe this lantern is the one for you. I would recommend it highly as a prop. That being said, if you are looking for a dependable camp lantern to use as a real light source, I would steer away from this product and look for another one.

Note: For those of you who have never used an oil lantern before I will provide some instruction below:
1. Fill the reservoir with oil
2. Lift the chimney (glass part) up to expose the wick (via toggling the lever on the side of the lamp)
3. Light the Wick
4. Drop the chimney back down and adjust the wick length (spin the regulator) until the lantern is not smoking

A mídia não pôde ser carregada.

MUY DECEPCIONADA con el artículo. Usé un producto adecuado para lámparas de quinqué y similares (citronella líquida de la marca Santul). Tras poco más de media hora con FLAMA BAJA toda la pintura de la parte de arriba se quemó. Encima de todo, la base gotea (ver video) y estropeó mi mesa. El color es lindo pero de qué sirve si se va a descarapelar al primer uso.

ACTUALIZACIÓN: Solicité la devolución por el mismo artículo con la idea de darle una segunda oportunidad. La pieza que llegó tenía los mismos problemas de funcionamiento: gotea, la flama se apaga constantemente, se quema con facilidad aun con la flama baja. Encima de todo, esta segunda pieza tenía defectuoso el mecanismo para subir y bajar el pabilo de modo que terminó desengancharse. El producto es bonito, pero en realidad NO ES UNA LÁMPARA FUNCIONAL, SÓLO ES UN ADORNO.

Es ligera, buenos acabados y muy funcional. La he probado con petróleo y se ha desempeñado muy bien. La recomiendo ampliamente, su precio es demasiado atractivo.

I will try to make this short and helpful for you.
I purchased 2 of these items, The fuel lid opener works fine, The glass is easy to clean or remove. Overall, I am very satisfied for what I have paid and what I have got. The only issue I had was the choice of colour and I resolved that by repainting it with a spray paint. I am happy with the product and I recommend this item. I hope you found this review helpful.

Delivers as expected at that price range. It's a little on the flimsy side but then again, these things are not supposed to be banged around. No leaks detected, as some have mentioned, but I am keeping it upright, the way these things are supposed to be used and carried. Small rubber "O" ring (gasket) issue at the filling port that should be addressed. It doesn't seem to be compatible with lamp oil... It degrades, leaves residue and then just breaks. This was not over time but after first week of use. Caught it before it could do damage and replaced it with a oil lamp resistant one. No biggie.

Good Quality and no Leak

I just want to tell whoever saying this will leak because you don't know how oil lamp works. You should just return it. It is not for you. You don't fill a lot of oil in it and use the right oil dont buy cheap oil and trying save money. If you being cheap don't use it. You need to always keep light stand straight. This is not LED and need to be handle with care. If you don't have those manner just go get LED light.

Aesthetically, the lantern is beautiful, but I wish I had bought the larger size. I had originally thought the lantern would be bigger and I will edit this review with a side by side picture once I purchase the larger sized lantern.

Don't waste your money!

The lamp will leak oil from it's bottom fold around the oil reservoir, manufacturing was poor. I purchased 2 bigger and much better oil lamps for less out of my local dollar store, that were much, much better quality and they still get used regularly. While the one I've purchased here sits outside somewhere, buried under snow.
