Another amazing read!
I love how they build family drama without sugarcoating the situations. Everything was against their relationship, falling in love with her ex brother in law, having to expose what really happened with her ex and fighting to keep the In, was written with perfection.
Presley was struggling to make ends meet and trying to provide for her son the best way she could, but always doing it with a smile on her face, having half of the B&B she made a deal with Levi with the hope he wouldn’t sell the place.
Being neglected by his brother and having to raise Alex almost by herself, Presley presents herself as one of the most strong females characters I’ve ever seen. The book is funny, emotional and with the right amount of angst.
I love every part of it.
Her friendship with Harper was one of the most funny parts of the book and her scenes with Levi was hot.
I love everything! Another favorite of mine this year!

‘If you’re not scared about losing something, it’s not worth your time.’

Gostei do livro, mas ele não abalou as minhas estruturas. Explodiu a minha mente, ou me prendeu a ponto de não querer parar de ler.

Mas não se preocupe Levi, não é você. Sou eu 😪.

Como sempre Vi e Pen arrasaram na química do casal, na construção dos personagens e todo o enredo no geral. Mas esse plot de romance entre o irmão e a ex-cunhada... Sei lá, eu não tava muito nessa vibe.

Super recomendo porque mesmo não estando na vibe eu gostei. 💗

Eu amo as histórias dessas duas autoras, portanto esperava mais do livro. O enredo começou bem, mas parece que as autoras se perderam ao longo do desenvolvimento.

Normally love these authors but this story was a real struggle. Good storyline with so much potential but feel it was dragged out unnecessarily. Characters started off well but then the quagmire of dishonesty and passiveness to a very unloveable brother and amother trying to resolve her mistakes through her meddling just brought the book down in my opinion. Did finish it but was disappointed in the direction of travel.

This dynamic authors always write a totally absorbing stiory. This stand alone is about two brothers , Levi and Tanner. The later being the father of Alex and the ex of Presley. The former being a part owner in a run down B+B inherited from his grandfather. Alex the child being the other partner when he comes of age. Alex is Tanner’s son. Levi wants to sell and run. Presley Alex’s mother wants to restore the place to it’s former glory for her son! She and Tanner have run their course of a relationship, as Tanner is very much and absentee father both physically and financially. The B+B is across country, and a new start ensues in more ways than one. Presley and Levi gradually fall for each other and the arguments turn to passion. Unfortunately Tanner returns, and the story unfolds. It is easy to read, full of emotion and passion. Descriptive and tender. A truly absorbing story with a HEA.

I knew I’m going to love this book before I started reading it. Penelope and Vi just can NOT write books you won’t love.

Presley and Levi’s story just proves that you can’t choose who you fall in love.
Yes,it does hurt people they care about but their love is so real,you just can’t hate them for it.
This book will definitely make you laugh,annoyed and swoon.
Levi will be your next favourite book boyfriend.I know there’s no such a thing as a perfect boyfriend but it’s safe to say he’s pretty close to it. Close,only because he tried to ignore his feelings towards Presley to make sure nobody gets hurt.That probably makes me selfish,questioning why he’d give up love just to make his brother happy but … you will understand my point once you read the book 😉
Oh also,you won’t look at peach cobbler in the same way as you used to 😜

Presley is determined to make the B&B her sons grandfather left him work. The only thing blocking her is her ex boyfriends brother who hates her and wants to sell the place to a developer. He is a footballer and as far as he is concerned she needs to go after leaving his brother. He finds out that that wasnt true and his feelings start to change. He agrees to give her sometime and works with her and his nephew Alex. There is a chemistry that he wasnt expecting and when they get together he starts to see a future but fate has his brother coming home to reclaim her even though they split up years before. Its hard trying to keep everything a secret and he thinks she doesnt want him to be part of her life

A unusual storyline, one I have never come across. Presley’s son Alex has a half share in a house/B&B with her ex’s brother Levi. Tanner her ex has had little to do with his son and his maintenance was sporadic with bounced cheques. Levi wants to sell the house but Presley wants to keep it as a B & B and do it up as it was very neglected. They argue a lot but come to an agreement. They develop a relationship, but things go pear shaped when Tanner turns up a new man and wants to be with his son and Presley, so things fall apart with Levi and Presley due to guilt and worrying about young Alex. Quite a story sad in parts but worth the read.
