wholly crap these things a tight. And i have a small head. I am trying to bend them but i think i will have buy something else. sure, they keep out the sound. they also squeeze your brains out. i cant image using these for any length of time. i took a chance, i lost this time.
First, they are NOT rated at 31 NRR. It states clearly on the impossible to get into "box" a noise reduction of 22 db. Once you get them out and try them on they fit like a vise and have no adjustment for head size. A bad purchase. Avoid these.
This do work and cancel out the noise well, but there are few things that make them not very good. They are not adjustable and barely fit my head. I have a really small head, so someone with a normal or large sized head would not likely fit them well. Also, they are not very comfortable. Super tight and can't see wearing them for long periods of time. It doesn't look like they will loosen up much. They just get a "meh" rating.
I ordered these mostly because they showed they were coming with 50 free N95 masks at the time. I got the hearing protection a day early, but without the N95 which I desperately needed. Thanks for nothing.
Too Tight Too Small Only 22 db and a rating of 2. That's a lot of "two's". Beware! My ears are normal or small and they don't fit well inside these muffs. LOTS of pressure on my head (7-1/8). Awkward to undo and put on, unlike my Howard Leight Leightning L2f's that I wore out. Thought I would try the Walker's because I'd heard good things about Walker's. Mistake. Back to Howard Leight.
They block sound quite well, however, after just 10 minutes in the range my ears were red and extremely irritated. They don't go over the ear, they sit on top of the ear. The padding is extremely firm and has no give at all, my head felt like it was getting squeezed between two hockey pucks. The notch is still not enough to be able to shoot an AR with, they still get in the way. Overall, pretty disappointed with how uncomfortable they are.
Very cheap construction. I suppose they are fine so long as they don't break, but mine cracked after one use. They don't unfold very gracefully and the band cracked where it meets the cup attachments. Definitely better to invest in good muffs if you are serious about shooting, spend at least $40, or get the Howard Leight earbands for $6.
Definitely falls into the “cheap” category for quality. Noise cancelation is fine, if you need these once in a while they’re ok, but I didn’t even about 6 months before they broke. I’m cheap so I made due for another few months, but they’re trash now. Cheap and economical for occasional use is fine, but not a long-lasting quality product.
