This lock does not integrate with the Samsung hub that was recommended. Several attempts through the warranty process, two phone calls to MiLOCK, and a phone conversation with Samsung has been no help. Samsung says its hub that was recommended by Amazon does not work with MiLOCK Z-Wave deadbolt locks, so I’m at square one when it comes to Alexa integration.
08/19/2020 Edit: MiLOCK says their lock will work with the Samsung hub and the lock I originally purchased might have a problem with a circuit board. They fast tracked a replacement lock to me that arrived on 08/17/2020. After spending four hours reinstalling the second lock in place of the first lock, it won’t integrate with the hub either. Not only that, but the mechanics won’t allow the lock to be used for a righthand door. No matter which position the switch is set, it won’t throw the bolt to the right to lock the door. No matter how many times I either turn the physical key to the right with the bolt in the lock position or turn the key to the left and lining up the switch in the unlocked position accordingly, the lock still defaults to the left open door and binds up inside the casing. I don’t recommend buying this lock. While it’s too late for me to recover the $198 I originally spent on the deadbolt that’s now selling for $59, I am advising everyone to not purchase this deadbolt. MiLOCK customer service is slow and really doesn’t measure up to their promises. It’s now been over 48 hours since I emailed them and phone calls to them go unanswered. Both of the locks in my possession will probably end up in the trash someday and I’ll cut my losses and try another product altogether in the future. I will hold on to them for thirty days from today in case someone from MiLOCKS contacts me or sends me return labels to return these inoperable locks. But I’m not interested in wasting anymore time in the twenty first century scratching my head as if I were still in the nineteenth century.
12/08/2020, still no word from MiLOCKS. I’ve already installed a far superior digital keypad deadbolt at half my original cost. Simple installation and setup. I would not recommend purchasing any MiLOCK products in the future based on their almost nonexistent customer service or any attempt to make my experience product any better.
